CASA RURAL LA VISTITA Farmhouse is a late 18th century early 19th century, typical, Canary Island farmhouse that stands in the beautiful townland of Guía Isora. Our farmhouse stands in a most beautiful spot, some 850 m above sea level. It is an excellent vantage point from which to observe spectacular sunrises and sunsets between the islands of La Palma and La Gomera. On clear days, we can catch a glimpse of these proud and majestic islands as they virtually erupt out of the Atlantic Ocean on the Aripe horizon. Built at the end of the 18th century, our farmhouse was fully refurbished in 2,000, thus transforming it into the ideal place to spend your dream holiday. Our farmhouse has a floor area of 80 m² and is for rent all year round as a complete unit.
The house accommodates 4 people in its 2 double bedrooms, each with a full bathroom. In addition, we have rooms with terraces, 2 with lounges and 1 extra folding bed. Each of our rooms has a hair dryer, air conditioning and individual heating.
Moreover, CASA RURAL LA VISTITA Farmhouse has the following facilities:
- Garden/terrace.
- Outdoor parking.
- Green areas.
- Solarium.
- Porch.
- Full kitchen.
- Lounge/dining room.
The views from our house are truly spectacular, given that we have the sea at our feet and the mountains at our back. From our small village we can see Pico Viejo Volcano and the Montes de Tágara Hills, which are the oldest pine groves on the island. Their beauty has led them to being declared a nature reserve. We are only a few metres away from the most impressive of our volcanoes, El Teide, which is the highest peak in Spain.
There are numerous tracks dotted around our area, representing perfect routes for hikers who can explore fascinating, long walks as they fully engage with nature.
The aboriginal carvings, which are of great historical importance given their antiquity, are only 400 m from our farmhouse.
Our privileged setting, beside sea and mountain, affords our guests the opportunity of pursuing diverse sports activities, while at the same time breathing in fresh air and enjoying the peace and quiet of this small village on the island of Tenerife.
The district of Isora has many interesting sites in terms of architecture, archaeology, history, ethnography and tradition. Many of these are currently being included in the list of Historic Heritage of the Canary Islands, under the 4/1999 Act of 15 March.
As an example, the areas of historic-cultural interest in the region must be noted. These include: the Church of Santa Úrsula, the Casa Fuerte Fort, the old Shrine of La Encarnación and the former Convent of Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, all from the 16th century. The 17th century Convento de San Francisco Convent, along with its Gobelin Tapestries; the Historic Archive and Caserío de Taucho Farmhouse. These are all located in the municipality of Adeje.
As for Guía de Isora, its historic and cultural legacy include the squares in Alcalá, Playa San Juan and Guía, and old rural farmhouses such as Las Fuentes, Chirche and Chiguergue.
The historic-artistic heritage of the municipality focuses on its centre, its main site being the Parish Church of Nuestra Señora de La Luz, where you can admire its architecture, altarpieces, sculptures, silverware and oil paintings from the 18th century.
In terms of the typical cuisine of the area, visitors can enjoy specially prepared dishes such as fish stew, coriander mojo sauce, fried moray eels, salted potatoes boiled in their skins, adobo sauce, etc.
